Biography
His interest in nature photography did not really take off until around 2003, when he purchased the Canon EOS Digital Rebel (300D). Prior to the digital camera revolution, he used a 35mm Canon Rebel which did not give him the most desirable results. After purchasing his first digital Rebel and reading Arthur Morris’ The Art of Bird Photography and John Shaw’s Focus on Nature, his interest of nature photography took off. During the next few years, he soaked in as much information about digital photography as possible and perfected his skills by taking weekly trips to local wildlife parks. Today, Jay is a seasoned and award-winning photographer who continues to take most of his photos in local parks and wildlife preserves in the South Florida area. His dream would be to take his camera around the world, but until that day, he will continue to catch the beauty that is Florida. Nature photography has not only become a hobby for Jay, but his passion. This website is set up so that he can share his passion of photography and nature and most of all, to open up a world of nature’s beauty as can only be seen through his lens. |
